Towers Engineering Works was originally started in 1945 by Bob Lee where he specialised in making cattle gear. The Bredden family took over in 1986 and have expanded the range, building its reputible name throughout North Queensland.

About The Company

Towers Engineering Works was originally started back in 1945 by Bob Lee (China Bob as he was known). Bob started making cattle gear in the fifties. The Bredden family took over in 1986 and have expanded the range from there. A new workshop was constructed in 1995 and provides a wide range of services besides cattle equipment.
In 2004 we purchased a robotic welder which has made some changes. Our products are now made from ALLGAL so there is a colour change as well as design. Contact us on 4787 7800 for more information on our products.

Manufacturing

At Towers Engineering Works we use the highly advanced version of automated welding in which our robotic welding arm can be programmed to suit the intended project. The use of this robotic technology allows for precise and quick results, less waste and greater safety for our team of welders.
Our robotic welding arm is used to put together some of our standard items like panels and gates. It can perform complicated and precise weld lines more quickly than in manual welding. This frees time for manufacturing and allows for more flexibility.

Yard Components

Spear Traps

Spear traps are a great way for trapping cattle where access is difficult. They are becoming more and more popular as a labour savings means of mustering along with reducing stress on the animal. The cattle trap themselves into the holding paddock and back rubbers can easily be hung across the trap thus eliminating the problem of buffalo fly.

Curved Crush

Curved crushes are made from 40x40x2mm high tensile ALLGAL rectanglurlar hollow section to a six metre radius, stock work around the curve easily with extra bar to reduce kicking.

Weigh Unit

Fast and accurate weighing of all classes of livestock takes the guesswork out of selling, allowing you to know what they are worth before you even load them. When not in use, just drop the leads inside, out of reach of your cattle.  They are designed to tare off even if beast is moving around in the unit. The load cells are up out of the dirt and moisture.
Sensor bars not included.
